is a Shaman Ojibwe artist from the Eabametoong First Nation (also know as Fort Hope) – a remote First Nation located in Northwest Ontario. He currently resides in Ottawa.
During his childhood, Jim gravitated towards art as a means of expressing his thoughts and ideas. Jim also discovered that art was a medium through which he could convey his stories and the promotion of Anishinabek culture of the world.
Jim is a second-generation woodland style artist, which was originally invented by the mastery of Norval Morrisseau. Norval invented his art form and began sharing his style of Anishinabek art with the world in bold colour and form. Jim is striving to continue on in the tradition of the woodland art style and hopes to promote healing and understanding amongst all of humanity.
